Their analysis points to significant challenges. Climate attitudes in the US have taken a turn for the worse, and evidence is strong that well-funded opponents of taking action on climate change have eroded public support for action.
At the same time, they find that a majority of Americans do understand that climate change is a reality and are worried about it.
